BiographyLarry Blovits is a Grand Rapids artist that specializes in portraiture and landscapes. He received his BFA and MFA from Wayne State University in Detroit and taught at Acquinas College in Grand Rapids for 26 years. Blovits is particularly well-known for his work in pastels and has published several books on the subject. He has completed oil and pastel portraits of many prominent business and government leaders across Michigan and the United States. He is currently represented in the permanent collections of institutions including the Grand Rapids Art Museum, the Muskegon Museum of Art, Grand Valley State University, and Hope College.
